São Tomé and Príncipe Reaffirms Its Firm Support for Morocco’s Territorial Integrity and Strengthening of Bilateral Cooperation

The Republic of São Tomé and Príncipe has reiterated its position in support of the territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Morocco, affirming Morocco’s full sovereignty over all its territories, including the Moroccan Sahara.

This statement was made during an official visit by the Santomean Minister of Foreign Affairs to Morocco, during which she reaffirmed her country’s commitment to its firm stance on the Kingdom’s national cause.

As part of efforts to strengthen bilateral relations, Morocco and São Tomé and Príncipe signed a new cooperation roadmap covering the period 2025-2027. This roadmap aims to enhance partnerships in several areas, including education, health, and investment. The Santomean official also praised the royal initiatives aimed at promoting security and stability on the African continent, expressing deep appreciation for the role of His Majesty King Mohammed VI in supporting sustainable development and South-South cooperation.

The Santomean Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasized her country’s desire to deepen its ties with the Kingdom of Morocco, noting that cooperation between the two nations serves as a successful model of African partnership and reflects a shared vision for development and prosperity for the continent’s peoples.
