Does Khalil Al-Hayya Know What the Algerian Regime Has Provided to Gaza? And Why Did He Ignore Morocco’s Role?
ALDAR / Analysis
Khalil Al-Hayya, Deputy Chairman of Hamas, extended his gratitude to countries such as South Africa, Russia, China, Algeria, and Turkey for their supportive stances on the Palestinian cause.
However, several questions arise about what Algeria has actually provided to Palestine beyond empty slogans. Can the Algerian regime be considered sincere in its support when real actions on the ground are noticeably absent?
What’s even more perplexing about Al-Hayya’s statements is Hamas’ deliberate neglect of Morocco’s principled and consistent stances in supporting the Palestinian people—both diplomatically and publicly—throughout the conflict with Israel.
Morocco was one of the first countries to condemn Israeli aggression, providing medical and humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people. The Kingdom has also supported Palestine’s legitimate rights at all international forums.
Yet, instead of appreciating this continuous support, Hamas and its leadership have chosen to ignore Morocco’s prominent role. This raises eyebrows and sparks many questions about the credibility of the positions Hamas proclaims on the international stage.
Are these stances merely political fluctuations, or are there other agendas behind these statements?
It cannot be denied that Algeria has offered verbal support to Gaza in the form of political rhetoric. But the question remains: what about tangible actions? There has been no significant movement or impactful action from Algeria on the ground.
Despite the enthusiastic speeches, there have been no large-scale demonstrations or concrete acts of solidarity that reflect real support against Israeli aggression.
Meanwhile, other Arab countries, such as Morocco, have shown genuine support throughout all stages and have maintained their honorable stance despite numerous challenges.
Unfortunately, this unwavering support has not received sufficient recognition from Hamas, which has opted to extend its gratitude to less impactful countries like Algeria.
Morocco’s steadfast position on the Palestinian cause and its continuous support for the Palestinian people remains the true benchmark for backing Arab causes.
While some countries may deny or overlook this support, Morocco’s rich history of principled and humanitarian stances will remain a testament to its unwavering commitment to Palestine’s rights on the international stage and its people’s hope for justice and freedom.
