Morocco is “Essential Actor” for Establishment of Peace in Middle East (Argentinian News Agency)
The Kingdom is a “major stakeholder for the achievement of peace” in the Middle East, the agency said, noting that Rabat’s position on the conflict in the region is clear, and is based on the two-state solution living side by side in peace and security, on negotiation between the parties as a means to achieve this solution and on the preservation of the Special Status of Al-Quds Asharif.
The author of the article, Argentinian expert Adalberto Agozino, also highlighted the strong links that unite the Jewish community of Moroccan origin to the Moroccan monarchy and the esteem it has for HM King Mohammed VI, noting that the Kingdom is the only Arab country that recognizes in its Constitution Hebrew as one of the components of Moroccan identity.
He recalled the visit to Morocco of a high-level American-Israeli delegation, led by Jared Kushner, Senior Advisor to American President Donald Trump and Meir Ben Shabbat, National Security Advisor of the State of Israel, which was marked by the signing, before His Majesty the King, of the Joint Declaration between the Kingdom of Morocco, the United States of America and the State of Israel.
For the United States, Agozino went on to say, “Morocco is a major ally in preserving security and stability in North Africa and on the southern shore of the Mediterranean”, noting that “Rabat and Washington have close cooperation in the security and military fields”.
