In the Presence of Lekjaa… CAF Executive Committee Convenes in Nairobi to Discuss the Future of African Competitions

The Executive Committee of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) kicked off its meeting today in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, under the chairmanship of Dr. Patrice Motsepe, as African football officials continue to shape the next phase of the continental competitions agenda.

The meeting is addressing highly significant issues, foremost among them the upcoming edition of the TotalEnergies CAF Super Cup 2025, in addition to the bidding procedures for hosting future CAF events. Participants are also discussing the possibility of expanding participation in the CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, which would provide more national teams across the continent with the opportunity to compete in this tournament that is witnessing growing popularity.

Discussions also include updates on the forthcoming editions of various continental competitions, with an emphasis on enhancing the level of organization and ensuring that African tournaments gain broader international visibility.
