Algerian Regime Backs India Against Muslim Pakistan: Diplomatic Scandal Exposed by Indian MP

In yet another diplomatic blunder exposing the disoriented compass of Algeria’s foreign policy, an Indian Member of Parliament has revealed shocking details during his visit to Algeria. In a post on the platform “X,” he expressed astonishment at what he described as the “excessive hospitality” offered by the Algerian regime. He added that Algerian officials had openly expressed their support for India in its conflict with Pakistan—a fellow Muslim country.

The post, which landed like a thunderbolt, unveiled a possible India-Algeria coordination that could even extend to a Security Council vote against Pakistan. This revelation underscores Algeria’s apparent abandonment of Islamic solidarity principles and its readiness to barter its positions—including issues like the Moroccan Sahara—in exchange for favor with India.

The scandal did not stop there. It escalated when the Indian MP—known by the title “Doctor”—made a critical mistake in his wording. Instead of writing that Algeria supports India against Pakistan, he literally wrote: “Algeria supports us…” The grave error sparked a wave of mockery online, but also highlighted the chaotic nature of the diplomatic situation.

What’s most striking in this episode is not merely the linguistic slip, but the content of the post itself: How can a country that claims to defend Islamic causes side with a nation hostile to Pakistan, that imposes a blockade on the Muslims of Kashmir, and supports repressive policies against Muslim minorities in India?

This blatant bias against a Muslim country once again reflects the political confusion within the Algerian regime, which seems willing to align with any side—even at the expense of Islamic principles and international justice—so long as it serves its agenda of hostility toward Morocco.
