Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly has announced an upcoming visit by the Chinese President to Egypt. Madbouly emphasized that this anticipated visit holds special significance due to its potential to bring new momentum to bilateral relations and to open broader horizons for cooperation in various fields.
The announcement came during Madbouly’s meeting yesterday evening with Li Shulei, a member of the Political Bureau, Secretary-General, and Head of the Publicity Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. The meeting took place at the government headquarters in the New Administrative Capital. During the talks, the two sides discussed ways to deepen bilateral cooperation, with a focus on enhancing political understanding, cultural rapprochement, and exploring opportunities for joint investment and development.
Madbouly pointed out that relations between Cairo and Beijing have witnessed remarkable progress in recent years on multiple fronts—from economic and trade cooperation to political coordination and shared understanding on regional and international issues of mutual concern. He added that the Chinese President’s upcoming visit is expected to be a milestone in this growing trajectory and could pave the way for the signing of new agreements to further strengthen the existing partnership between the two nations.
For his part, Li Shulei expressed China’s appreciation for Egypt’s pivotal role at both the regional and international levels.
