Washington reaffirms its support for Rabat in a meeting with De Mistura: No solution to the Sahara issue outside Morocco’s sovereignty

The U.S. Department of State recently informed the UN Special Envoy for the Sahara, Stefan de Mistura, that Washington’s position on the regional conflict is clear and consistent, and it supports Morocco’s sovereignty over its southern territories.

The American diplomacy emphasized that no solution can be reached outside the framework of Moroccan sovereignty, reflecting the ongoing growing international support for Morocco’s autonomy initiative as a realistic and practical solution to this conflict.
