Algeria and Its Exposed Maneuvers in Mozambique: Desperate Attempts to Legitimize the Separatist Illusion

Aldar / Analysis

Algeria continues its desperate attempts to legitimize a fictitious entity, using exposed diplomatic and media tools that only serve to deepen the isolation of its separatist agenda. The latest of these moves took place in Mozambique, where the Algerian regime and its official and unofficial media sought to promote their open support for separatism through a weak media stunt that convinced no one. On the contrary, it once again exposed Algeria’s destabilizing role in the region.

These maneuvers are not just another step in Algeria’s series of interventions; they are yet another damning piece of evidence against a regime that violates international law under the guise of empty slogans.

Before public opinion, Algeria is once again stripped of its cover, falsely claiming to defend the so-called “right to self-determination,” while in reality, it is the primary instigator of an attempt to create an entity out of nothing.

What is even more laughable is the claim by Algerian state media that the separatist delegation was officially invited by the Mozambican government. However, widely circulated images show that they were not received in any government building but merely took their “official” photos in front of an animal medicine warehouse—a scene that clearly illustrates the extent of their international marginalization.

In contrast to these failed maneuvers, Morocco continues to strengthen its sovereignty over its southern provinces through development projects and international partnerships that reinforce its legal and political standing. Meanwhile, Algeria squanders its resources on losing battles, which now find little resonance beyond its own official media platforms.
