Hamas Mourns the Perpetrator of the Tel Aviv Attack, a Moroccan-American, and Calls for Intensified Resistance

ALDAR/

The Islamic Resistance Movement “Hamas” on Tuesday evening mourned Abdul Qader Azziz, the Moroccan-American citizen who carried out a stabbing attack in Tel Aviv, central Israel. The movement described the attack as a “natural response” to Israeli occupation aggression.

In a statement published on its Telegram channel, Hamas said: “We bless the heroic stabbing operation that took place this evening in Tel Aviv, which confirms that the tide of resistance is ongoing and escalating as long as the occupation continues its crimes and aggression. We mourn the martyr, the Moroccan hero Abdul Qader Azziz, the perpetrator of the operation.”

The statement added, “The operation came as a natural response to the Israeli aggression that resulted in the martyrdom of dozens and the injury of others in the city of Jenin. It is a clear message that blood is met with blood, and the resistance will continue to strike deeply into the heart of the usurping entity with full force.”

Hamas emphasized that the occupation’s attempts to achieve field victories in the West Bank are “desperate attempts” that will not bring it security or erase the traces of its aggression. Instead, these attempts will turn into a nightmare that haunts it.

The movement also called on the Palestinian people in the West Bank to escalate resistance, stating: “We call on our people to mobilize and intensify resistance actions against the occupation forces and settler militias, and to support the steadfastness of Jenin and other governorates facing Israeli aggression, by all possible means.”

On Tuesday evening, the city of Tel Aviv witnessed a stabbing attack that left four Israelis injured with varying degrees of severity. Initial reports indicated that the perpetrator, who was killed by Israeli security forces, held U.S. citizenship and was of Moroccan descent.
