On Tuesday evening, the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas mourned Abdul Qader Azziz, a Moroccan citizen residing in the United States, who carried out a stabbing attack in Tel Aviv, Israel. The group described the attack as a “natural response” to Israeli occupation and aggression.
In a statement released on its Telegram channel, Hamas said: “We bless the heroic stabbing operation that took place this evening in Tel Aviv, confirming that the tide of resistance is ongoing and escalating as long as the occupation continues its crimes and aggression. We mourn the martyr, the Moroccan hero Abdul Qader Azziz, the perpetrator of this operation.”
The statement added, “The operation was a natural response to Israeli aggression that resulted in the martyrdom of dozens and the injury of others in Jenin. It is a clear message that blood is met with blood, and the resistance will continue to strike deeply into the heart of the usurping entity with full force.”
Hamas emphasized that the occupation’s attempts to achieve field victories in the West Bank are “desperate attempts” that will not bring security or erase the traces of its aggression. Instead, these attempts will turn into a nightmare for the occupiers.
The movement also called on the Palestinian people in the West Bank to escalate resistance, stating: “We call on our people to mobilize and intensify resistance actions against the occupation forces and settler militias, and to support the steadfastness of Jenin and other governorates facing Israeli aggression, by all possible means.”
On Tuesday evening, Tel Aviv witnessed a stabbing attack that left four Israelis injured with varying degrees of severity. Initial reports indicated that the perpetrator, who was killed by Israeli security forces, was of Moroccan descent and residing in the United States.
