Vladimir Putin will visit China on May 16 and 17 at the invitation of Xi Jinping

The Chinese Foreign Ministry announced on Tuesday that Russian President Vladimir Putin will pay a state visit to China on May 16 and 17, at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin said the visit was Putin’s first state visit after his inauguration as Russia’s president for a new term.
Wang pointed out that during the visit, Presidents Xi and Putin will exchange views on bilateral relations, cooperation in various fields and international and regional issues of common concern. It should be noted that this year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
