Amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, international calls are intensifying for the urgent need to find a comprehensive political solution that guarantees justice and peace for the Palestinian people and ends their suffering, recently manifested in the blockade and famine. The organization of the United Nations conference on the two-state solution, under the leadership support of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and France, comes as an important diplomatic step that embodies the international community’s commitment to relaunching the peace process based on a just and lasting vision.

This global conference confirms the unity of the international stance regarding the necessity to end the war in Gaza and halt military operations that have exhausted the civilian population, alongside ending the siege that undermines fundamental human rights in the Strip. In this context, the vital role played by both Saudi Arabia and France stands out in coordinating diplomatic efforts to reach an international consensus on the basic principles of the two-state solution.

In a prominent move, France and the United Kingdom announced their intention to officially recognize the State of Palestine, joining a list of 147 countries that have preceded them in this recognition. This reflects a significant diplomatic shift that strengthens Palestine’s status internationally and increases political pressure on the concerned parties to find a just settlement.

These developments come at a time when the humanitarian situation in Gaza requires urgent and comprehensive action from the international community, not limited only to relief efforts but also including support for sustainable political solutions that restore security and stability to the region. These joint steps are expected to end civilian suffering and enhance the prospects of a just peace based on mutual recognition and the rights of peoples.

A political solution remains the only way to break the cycle of endless violence and destruction. The United Nations conference and the initiatives to recognize the State of Palestine send strong signals toward building a future marked by security and dignity for all peoples of the region.
