Spain: Over 262.000 Moroccans Affiliated to Social Security in December

A total of 262,058 Moroccans were affiliated to social security in Spain by the end of December, according to official figures.

Moroccans top foreign non-EU workers affiliated to social security in Spain, ahead of the Chinese (98,717), the Spanish ministry of Labor, Migration and Social Security said in a release.

As for the number of foreigners who were affiliated to social security in the same period, it has reached 2,078,636 up by 2.2% compared to December 2019.

The number of Moroccans living legally in Spain reached 864,546 in January 1st, 2020, up by 6.3% compared to the same period in the year before, according to the National Statistics Institute.
